VIRGINIA
DELLA BALDA

Movement Director / Choreographer

BIOGRAPHY

Virginia Della Balda (b. 1996) is a dancer, choreographer, and movement director based in Italy and working worldwide.

A graduate of the Dutch National Ballet Academy, with formative experiences abroad, she brings a strong classical foundation infused with a contemporary sensibility. Her career spans European stages and international productions, blending tradition with innovation. After transitioning to freelance work in 2022, she began exploring the full creative spectrum, from live performance to film, fashion, and movement direction. Virginia’s aesthetic is defined by versatility. Her movement language draws from classical ballet, contemporary, and urban influences, shaped by collaborations with a wide range of choreographers and artists across styles. She has choreographed and directed for stage and screen, including leading the dance ensemble for Radio Deejay in Riccione. In addition to her work as a performer and creative, Virginia is a certified athletic trainer specialised in dancers’ conditioning and injury prevention, a skill she integrates into both her teaching and creative practice. Her work seeks to push boundaries, evoke emotion, and celebrate individuality. For Virginia, dance is not just form, it’s freedom: a means of expression that transcends limits and speaks where words fall short.

"Art is where discipline meets freedom, and where I turn movement into a voice that refuses limits. Technique is my foundation. Freedom is my direction."
